The course is designed for comletion of all subcourses of a phase before starting another phase; the phases are completed in sequence. Completion of all requirements within the time limit is required or students may be permanently disenrolled. 2. The nonresident course is offered in three options:
a. The correspondence option is conducted by the student through individual study. Instructional materials are mailed sequentially by phases to the student. Examinations are returned to CGSC for grading.
b. The classroom, or BRIGADE SCHOOL OPTION, is conducted under the guidance of the Total Army School System. Phases I and III are available as Inactive Duty Training (IDT) during the school year (Oct-May). Phases II and IV are available as Active Duty Training (ADT during the summer. The BRIGADE SCHOOL option has many advantages. And, the course is taught by highly qualified, certified USAR instructors.
